IT ISN'T JUST THE LAW OF THE LAND - IT IS THE ETERNAL PRINCIPLE

Eternal Principle

Marcus Tullius Cicero, who was born in 105 B.C. and was beheaded by Antony's soldiers in 43 B.C, writes in On the Laws,

“Law was neither a thing to be contrived by the genius of man, nor established by any decree of the people, but a certain eternal principle, which governs the entire universe, wisely commanding what is right and prohibiting what is wrong.”

In the Declaration of Independence, Thomas Jefferson echoes this eternal truth when he explains that the function of government is to secure God-given rights.

How do we know about these rights?

Cicero explains that the supreme law is “the mind of God” and that from the moment of our existence, through our power of reason, God incites us to do good and deters us from evil.

Cicero continues,

“Every law which deserves the name of a law, ought to be morally good and laudable. It is clear, say they, that laws were originally made for the security of the people, for the preservation of states, for the peace and happiness of society; and that they who first framed enactments of that kind, persuaded the people that they would write and publish such laws only as should conduce to the general morality and happiness, if they would receive and obey them.”

It is clear that Jefferson and the founders understood and believed in the eternal principle and Cicero’s interpretation.

THE NY MOSQUE CONTROVERSY; WAR ON A NEW FRONT

The Ground Zero Mosque & The War of Ideas

By Frank Salvato

The controversy surrounding the Park 51/Cordoba House project – promoted by the Cordoba Initiative and headed by Feisal Abdul Rauf – is one that illustrates the full range of the ideological clash between the Islamic culture and the culture of the West. Whether Liberals, Progressives and apologists care to admit it or not the fundamentalist Islamist factions of the Arab world are actively attempting to advance their influence on the world; in every nation and every culture. In their attempt at establishing an elevated influence around the world this fundamentalist faction seeks not to be accepted as equals or to assimilate, but to enter into foreign cultures as a privileged and exempt class. The issue of the Park 51 Project – from this point forward referred to by its original label, the Cordoba House – is a perfect example of one particular battle theater in this culture clash: the war of ideas.

The West’s current conflict with expanding fundamentalist Islam is taking place on four different fronts, at least at the hand of the Islamists: militarily, diplomatically, economically and ideologically.

Militarily, the West is fully engaged on the internationally recognized battlefields of Iraq and Afghanistan and, to a lesser extent in the undefined battle theaters around the world, and especially throughout the Middle East, the Asian South Pacific, Africa and most recently, South America.

IS WAL-MART FUNDING RADICAL ISLAMIC SCHOOLS IN USA?

Millions From Wal-Mart Allegedly Funding Private Grade Schools With Islamic Ties

The Walton Family Foundation is shelling out millions to fund charter schools with alleged ties to militant Islam throughout the country.

At the schools, which have been “inspired” by Imam Fethullah Gulen, students are immersed in Turkish customs, rituals, and language. They take part in so-called “Turkish Olympics” and are encouraged to make annual pilgrimages to Istanbul and Ankara. The schools allegedly foster the dream of the restoration of the Ottoman Empire and dismiss all accounts of the Armenian Christian holocaust as fanciful myths.

According to Stephen Schwartz of the Center for Islamic Pluralism, the students at the Gulen schools are also stepped in the tenets of militant Islam so they may be of serve a role in the re-establishment of the Ottoman Empire and the extension of shariah (Islamic law) throughout Europe and the United States.

Many of the teachers at these schools are Turkish émigrés with questionable credentials. Some possess H-1B non immigrant visas which should only be granted to individuals who possess “highly specialized knowledge in a field of human endeavor.” The female faculty members appear in their classrooms wearing hijabs and traditional Islamic attire.

Rachel Sharon-Krespin writes: “His (Gulen’s) followers target youth in the eighth through twelfth grades, mentor and indoctrinate them in the isikevi, educate them in the Fethullah schools, and prepare them for future careers in legal, political, and educational professions in order to create the ruling classes of the future Islamist, Turkish state.”

Even more telling is a comment from Nurettin Veren, Gulen’s right hand man for 35 years, who says: “These schools are like shop windows. Recruitment and Islamization are carried out through night classes.

Be a Picker

You start by learning what is available online in categories that you know well. eBay is a great place to start your learning process. Once you have chosen a category, check out what is actually selling. There is a great deal of product available, but not all of it is being bought. eBay also has a list of what is popular, and that is a good reference. Becoming a part of the eBay community is a smart move too.

Don't just stick with eBay. Check out the other sites that are holding auctions, as well, and make sure you look at Amazon.com. The fact is that eBay and Amazon are the two largest resellers on the net, followed closely by Craigslist.

Once you have studied up on what will sell, how do you find product? That is the time consuming part of picking. One of the best places to start is by checking for yard sales and garage sales. Local papers are the perfect place to start looking, followed by flea markets, second hand stores, and places like Goodwill. Be sure when you go picking that you know exactly what you are looking for and get to any yard sale early. The competition is stiffer than you might think. More and more people are learning that used goods can be just as good as new, and that they can be a way to make some extra cash.

THE REAL WORLD OF PRIVATE INVESTIGATIONS (PART 3)

THE TRUTH ABOUT
PRIVATE INVESTIGATORS (Part 3)

by Randy Wyles
Executive Editor

When working with a private investigator, communication and honesty are of the utmost importance.

“Trust is essential,” says Holly Hunter, owner of Hunter Investigations, an Alpharetta, Georgia based PI firm. She does get a few jokes about her name, but that’s about the only comparison anyone makes between her and the actress. “If you’re seeking a divorce, you’re entrusting the most intimate details of your life to a private investigator,” she says. “You’re trusting the investigator to act lawfully. You’re also trusting the investigator to do everything he or she can to obtain the information you need and has been truthful with you about their activity. That trust can’t be broken.”
Hunter, an unassuming, blue-eyed, blonde mother of three is an Atlanta native who looks like she would spend most of her days running errands for her family and volunteering at her church–which she does, in addition to her work as a PI.  But her daily schedule often involves high-tech information gathering and low-profile surveillance.
“Depending on the case scenario, it tends to be a lot of courthouse records-searching and computer-related document and fact checking,” Hunter says. “In most cases, I first establish a ‘big picture’ of what I’m looking at and looking for. I access as many sources as I can in order to get some kind of an understanding of the history and habits of the person I’m investigating–the Subject.”
Sometimes that means visits to courthouse records offices, and sometimes that means canvassing the Subject’s known haunts.  Hunter’s quiet demeanor allows her to waltz in and out of situations and strike up conversations by either chatting up unsuspecting female interviewees or spreading a hint of “Southern charm” on male targets.  Before long, she obtains the information she needs and, like a Navy Seal, has left the area without leaving so much as a footprint.

Randy Wyles is Senior Investigator for Hunter Investigations.
